Welcome to Our New Assistant Professor Intercultural Competence and French, Dr. Kris Knisely

Congratulations to Dr. Kris Knisely-Southerland (Ph.D. Emory University) who has just accepted the position of assistant professor of Intercultural Competence and French in our department.  He comes to us with several years of teaching experience both as a graduate teaching assistant at Emory and as an assistant professor at the University of South Dakota.   Dr. Knisely-Southerland is a specialist in French and Educational Studies and his work has appeared in a variety of journals including Gender and Language, Contemporary French Civilization, The French Review, and the Journal of Applied Measurement, among others and is currently completing several new projects on intercultural personhood, gender inclusivity in the foreign-language classroom, and social networks and second-language acquisition.
