Welcome to Our New Assistant Professor of French & Caribbean Studies, Dr. Lucy Swanson

Congratulations to Dr. Lucy Swanson (Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania) who has just accepted the position of assistant professor of French and Caribbean Studies in our department.  She comes to us with several years of teaching experience both at Haverford College and Lafayette College.  Dr. Swanson is a specialist in Francophone literature with articles that have appeared in a variety of journals including Cincinnati Romance Review, Contemporary French and Francophone Studies (SITES), and the International Journal of Francophone Studies, and is currently completing a book project, Zombie Islands: Shifting Narratives of Oppression and Resistance in the French-Speaking Caribbean.
