Kaitlin is originally from Nebraska but has lived in Tucson since 2016 when she moved here for her Master's in French and Francophone Studies. In May of 2023 she received her doctorate at the University of Arizona in the College of Education's Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies department with an emphasis on Language and Literacy and a double minor in Cognitive Science and French.
She has taught French and English as a foreign language in Tucson, Omaha, Guadeloupe, France, and Quebec. Kaitlin has also spent time in Quebec WOOFing (working as a volunteer organic farmer) and being an AuPair.
Outside of academia, she has a two-year-old daughter that (happily) occupies quite a bit of her time, loves to bake bread (using the traditional pan levain methods), draw, hike, and garden.
