I was a non-traditional student, returning to university after a 20-year-hiatus. Before the UA, being able to speak even a little bit of French changed my life and helped me gain employment as an administrative assistant with Hercules, Inc., the DuPont Company, American International Group and as a court reporter on Capitol Hill. Since graduating, I’ve been the French teacher at Sabino High School, a U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School in TUSD. I’ve been teaching all four levels of high school French, including an AP course, advising the National Honor Society, and pursuing my National Board Certification. I also teach an ELD course to second language learners.?I plan to earn my masters in Second Language Acquisition and hope to teach French for years and years to come. My husband Tom and I have four children.
