When I graduated, I interned at the French Embassy Trade Commission and then later became a fully-employed trade attaché for the French government doing commercial development for French fashion and accessory designers. I worked for a department within the Ministry of Foreign Finance and Economy that subsidized market studies and aided French business in expanding their product outside of France. I spent 4 years working there before I transitioned into accessory design. After I left the French Embassy Trade Office, I helped launch a handbag line that was sold in stores such as Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Intermix, Free People and ShopBop. I have also worked for Brooklyn Industries and Rafe Totengco of Rafe New York. I currently work full-time for Nine West, doing handbag design.
