Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, I have worked in international education since 1988, beginning while I was a senior at the University of Arizona. After receiving my Master of Arts degree in Linguistic and TESOL in 1991 from the American University in Washington, DC, I taught ESL and EFL and ran an English language program Miami, Florida from 1991 until 1998 when I moved back West to become the director of international programs at Idaho State University. In 2006 I left Idaho for Carroll College. Besides international student recruitment, I also direct our education abroad program as well as the TESOL minor at Carroll. I've worked with students from over 50 countries, and travelled to over 40 countries. In addition to travel, I love to garden, read, hike in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and watch American football and baseball.
