ILiana Pshevorska graduated from the University of Arizona with an MA in French Literature (2011) and a BA cum laude in Education and French with a minor in Russian (2009). She taught French at the Alliance Française of Tucson and at a private language school in Ukraine before entering her doctorate program in French Literature at Princeton University. Liana is currently a PhD Candidate, completing a dissertation entitled “In-Betweenness: Aesthetics and Identity in Contemporary Francophone Translingual Literature”. Parallel to her graduate work, she spent four remarkable summers in the South of France working for Bryn Mawr College’s study abroad program in Avignon, where she taught courses and served as a Student Life supervisor. The University of Arizona has prepared her well for her academic career in the humanities and she is honored to remain connected to faculty at the Department of French and Italian and watch the wonderful work they accomplish at the U of A.
