I’m an Associate Professional of French and German at Texas A & M International University (TAMIU) in Laredo, Texas. I studied Langues Etrangères Appliquées (LEA) with a double major in French and German at the Université Lyon II, France. I received a Masters of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Germanistik (German Literature and Linguistics) from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität in Frankfurt, Germany prior to pursuing a Doctoral Degree in French and German Studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson. My formal interdisciplinary and multicultural education in France, Germany and the United States, as well as my experiences in these countries add to the diversity of the college and give the name of our institution Texas A & M International University a true meaning. My focus is on the influences of African oral traditions and the literary transposition of semantic structures from African languages and cultures into the French language. In addition, I lead TAMIU Study Abroad Programs to Paris, France, and Berlin, Germany.
