Pursuing BA and MA degrees in French at UA have allowed me to have a broader perspective on environmental engineering, one that encompasses French and Francophone cultural perspectives on the environment, society, and health. During my studies at UA, I spent some weeks in Paris and Bretagne at Veolia Environnement, a French water and waste management company. Being able to communicate in French and know the culture enriched immeasurably my experience as an intern.

Here is a link to the podcast that I produced about water treatment and sewers throughout the history of Paris. A lot of the content was from classes and course I took at the French Department: https://soundcloud.com/water-podcast/episode-306-the-sewers-of-paris
