Kiah Sleiman

My primary career goal is to be a researcher in biology and immunology, but a major part of that for me is collaboration between labs, both domestically and internationally. My Humanities education helps me take steps towards that goal by helping with mastery of a foreign language and education of different global cultures, being French and Francophone cultures in my case. Being able to communicate with labs in other countries and understand different cultural and societal contexts behind the research being conducted is vital to collaborative efforts, and so my French degree has greatly helped to prepare me for that aspect of my future professional career.
