I didn't really use my language skills until I was 55 in 2001 and went to French speaking Cote d'Ivoire in the Peace Corps. Now I visit the village regularly where I started a NGO and opened a community health care center that provides a safe and clean space for women to give birth and also immediate care with doctors, a nurse, midwife, a lab tech and a small pharmacy. www.ivorycoastaid.org
