I am working with a DC based non-profit, the Washington Office on Latin America, as a program assistant for their Mexico and Migration and Border Security programs. My degree from the College of Humanities is essential for my next step; my courses have enhanced my understanding of and passion for human rights. I have learned about the complexities of the development of culture, public opinion, and narratives, and the ways in which different social and historical issues interact with each other to influence contemporary politics and individual's experiences. I have a greater perspective of how to approach policy with a human rights approach and why this is important for our global communities and global development.
