We are very happy to announce that Dr. Denis Provencher (http://umbc.academia.edu/DenisProvencher) has accepted our offer to join the Department of French and Italian within the School of International Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Arizona effective August 15, 2016, as Department Head and Professor of French.
Dr. Provencher is the Editor-in-Chief of the very prestigious journal Contemporary French Civilization (http://online.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/loi/cfc).
He is the author of two books (Queer Maghrebi French: Language, Temporalities, Transfiliations forthcoming in 2016 and Queer French: Globalization, Language, and Sexual Citizenship in France in 2007). He has also published numerous articles and book chapters on 19th, 20th, and 21st century French and Francophone Studies and on Queer Theory and Gender Studies.
