What is this project and what is it about?
A series of interviews with prominent recording artists, activists, and citizens is now available on the audiovisual archive Documenting African Freedom. Curated with the rapper and activist Xuman and conducted by Phyllis Taoua, the interviews filmed in Dakar, Senegal, explore the meaning of freedom in several African languages and contexts.
