Join Talk-it-OUT! Interactive Theater students for a community outreach event.
Join students from Professor Aurelia Mouzet's FREN 459/559 course, Talk-it-OUT! Theater for Social Justice, for a forum theater show and get ready to become a spet-actor! Students will perform interactive skits about social justice issues and ask audience members to come up and participate with them. This community outreach event, open to the general public, encourages building connections between students and members of the Tucson community. Guest speakers from Iskashitaa Refugee Network will also perform skits and talk about the services they provide for refugees here in the Tucson area. This will be a wonderful collaboration event that will foster growth and connection between UA students, refugees, and the Tucson community. Barrio Boheme, a local band, will also perform a few songs during the potluck dinner before the show begins.
Don't forget to bring a dish, dessert, or soft drink! We'll see you in room S107 of the Environment & Natural Resources 2 Building on December 5th at 5:30pm!
