Spring 2020 Tournées Film Festival

The Department of French & Italian is proud to partner with Tournées Film Festival to offer an array of experiences in French cinema. The lineup for the Tournées Film Festival will run from January 23 to February 20, 2020. The films represent, broadly: ActUp Paris and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, post-1968 youth culture, a young farmer seeking a better life for his family in the Congo, political resistance in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Juliette Binoche as a middle-aged artist looking for love and Agnès Varda's penultimate film. All films will be screened in M Pacheco Integrated Learning Center (ILC), Room 130 and are free and open to the public. Each film will include an introduction or Q&A session led by a faculty member or graduate student in the French section. Screenings will be on Thursdays at 7pm (with one exception as noted on the flier and below).  For more detailed information about each film, click on the title.
