Dora Valencia is currently a graduate student in the Master of French program and a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Translational Sciences program at the University of Arizona. She obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Health from the University of Arizona in 2019. Dora completed her undergraduate career in 2017, obtaining her B.A. in French, BSHS in Physiology and a minor in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona. During her time as an undergraduate French student, Dora spent one summer in Paris with the Arizona in Paris program. Dora’s research interests include breast cancer prevention and utilizing languages and literature to better understand the human experience and thus utilize this information to improve health outcomes in underserved populations.
