Prof. Alfie to present at the Tucson Festival of Books

Fabian Alfie, Professor of Italian and Head of the Department of French and Italian, will be a panelist at the Tucson Festival of Books.  Accompanying him will be the poet, Mary Jo Bang, who has translated Dante's "Inferno."

Topic: How Dante's "Inferno" Became Modern

Last year Toronto University Press published Prof. Alfie's book, Dante's Tenzone with Forese Donati: The Reprehension of Vice.  Prof. Alfie regularly teaches Dante's Comedy for the Department of French and Italian, and has taught Inferno and Purgatorio for the Humanities Seminars Program.
