We realize that financial aid to help with tuition and living expenses is often a key consideration in deciding whether– and where – to attend graduate school. Most of our graduate students receive at least partial funding through the Department, the Graduate College, and/or outside sources in the form of research assistantships, graduate assistantships, tuition scholarships and waivers, and fellowships. For additional information, please explore the Financial Aid section of the Graduate College website.

The following are available through the Department of French & Italian:

  • Tuition Scholarships and Fellowships Graduate fellowships, scholarships, and tuition waivers are awarded each year to qualified degree-seeking students. More information can be found at http://grad.arizona.edu/financial-resources

  • The Loyal A. T. Gryting Scholarship and the Charles L. Rosenberg Memorial Scholarship are awarded to graduate students in French who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.
